Responsibilities of a Live-In Caregiver

  • Provide personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, mobility support)

  • Prepare meals and provide medication reminders

  • Offer companionship and emotional support

  • Assist with light housekeeping and daily household needs

  • Monitor safety and follow the client’s care plan

  • Be present and available to the client during the full 24-hour assignment

The Ideal Caregiver Will:

  • Have prior live-in caregiving experience

  • Be CNA, HHA, or PCA certified (preferred)

  • Be reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent care

  • Demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness

  • Have reliable transportation to travel to live-in assignments across CT

Hiring Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years caregiving experience (live-in preferred)

  • CNA, HHA, or PCA certification preferred

  • Must pass background check & eligibility verification

  • Valid driver’s license strongly preferred

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and safely assist clients
